Audience with Beramode

((This forum is for Nick, Cern and Dr.Crook))

Walking down the white hallway wiht silver guards standing in between pale blue banners you approch the large crystal throne upon which the Lady beramode sits. Without the herald announcing your presence she lifts her blindfolded eyes to look directly at the three of you. Her white hair falls partcially over her face and you just know she sees you even if she is blind. Her white gown is laces with small silver stars and a white leather belt attach a delicate elven sword to her hip. She seems vaguely aggitated about something. The guards fidget as she looks at you.

"Welcome my friends," her soft voice rings in your heads, "what can I do for you on this cold winter's day?"

*Doctor Crook nudges Nick"

Psst- Hey Nick, looks like this is your big moment....

Beramode sighs deeply and smiles at Dr. Crook. "It seems your friend there is lost in thought. But even though he is I would like at least one of you to give a report. Unless you took up my time with a little hello." Her smile turns, less friendly, "If that was all you wanted I'm sure a tea party can be arranged."

*The Doctor removes the sword fragment from Nick's bag - slowly, so as not to be cut down by bodyguards-*

As you wish, your ladyship. We have obtained the final fragment of the sword. We discovered it a a place called "The Temple of the Guardian". we followed a rumour about it's location while we were on a mission to stop a vampire. The Krusnicks were in the area and aware of our presence but seemed happy for us to obtain it- they talked of being careful not to wake a sleeper- I'm not sure what that means.

Anyway, here it is......

"If I may, the sleeper is a winged being, apparently the only one who can wield the sword once it's re-forged."

"The Krusnik are...beings unto themselves." she smiles at the sight of the last sword fragment, "You have no idea how glad I am to see that. But now comes the annoying task of finding someone to forge the damn thing. Or reforge it." It appears that she is completly ignoring the last statement made by Cern, either that or she has chosen not to hear it.

*Cern shoots Doc a look.*

"As for forging the sword, I've recently made some contacts with the Dwarfs, up in the mountains. Perhaps they have smiths who are capable?"

*The Doc acknowledges Cern's look with an almost imperceptable sideways glance*

...Ah, Indeed! I'd say that if anyone could do it, they could. Doesn't the High Thane himself sit on the council?

"I suppose that is a plan. But as it is not the time of the council at the moment he will still be up north, and I do not think that the weather has been kind to the dwarves as of recently. I shall send a courier to ask him about it as soon as the winter lets up a bit more. However until then I suggest you stay in the city." She sighs and stands resting her hand on the hilt of her sword, "He who waits will want to make a go of it at some point I think."

...I agree My Lady, I think things are about to get very ugly. Is there anything else you require of us at this time?
